Ghana Taekwondo Federation Announces Vetting Schedule for 2026 Executive Elections

The Electoral Committee of the Ghana Taekwondo Federation (GTF) has released the official timetable for the vetting of candidates contesting the Federation’s 2026 Executive Board Elections.

According to the committee, the vetting exercise will be conducted virtually via Zoom on Sunday, July 12, 2026, ahead of the Federation’s elective congress scheduled for Saturday, July 18, 2026.

The presidential candidates will be the first to appear before the vetting panel. Incumbent President Frederick Lartey Otu is scheduled to be vetted from 2:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m., followed by Charles Tsibo Cromwell from 2:20 p.m. to 2:35 p.m.

For the Vice President position, Hamidu Abdel-Fatao will be vetted from 2:40 p.m. to 2:55 p.m., Martin Prince Oppan from 3:00 p.m. to 3:15 p.m., and Maxwell Theodore Alornyo from 3:20 p.m. to 3:35 p.m.

The vetting of candidates seeking election as Board Members will begin at 3:50 p.m. The schedule is as follows:

  • Kankpenuba Peter N. Wisdom – 3:50 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Simon Koku Gluikpor – 4:05 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.
  • David Addotey – 4:20 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Stephen Amegashie – 4:35 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
  • Terrance Asare Gideon Tetteh – 4:50 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Gideon Tetteh – 5:05 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.

The Electoral Committee has advised all candidates to join the Zoom meeting at least two minutes before their scheduled vetting time to ensure a smooth and efficient process.

The committee also announced that the Zoom meeting link will be shared with all candidates before the commencement of the exercise.

The virtual vetting forms part of preparations for the Ghana Taekwondo Federation’s Executive Board Elections, where delegates will elect new leaders to steer the affairs of the Federation for the next term.
