Spurs Strengthen Backroom Staff as De Zerbi Builds for Premier League Rise

Tottenham Hotspur have taken another decisive step in shaping their future under new Men’s Head Coach Roberto De Zerbi, confirming a revamped and experienced backroom staff as the club looks to climb the Premier League table.

Currently battling to improve consistency and secure a stronger position in the league standings, Spurs are clearly backing De Zerbi with a technical team built on familiarity, continuity, and proven expertise.

At the heart of the latest additions are Marcattilio Marcattilii widely known as Marco who joins as First Team Fitness Coach, and Marcello Quinto, appointed as Senior Professional Development Phase Coach. Both arrive with deep-rooted connections to De Zerbi, reinforcing a coaching philosophy that has been carefully developed over the years.

Marco’s relationship with the Italian tactician dates back to 2015 during their time at Foggia, and he has remained a trusted figure in De Zerbi’s inner circle ever since. His presence is expected to play a crucial role in improving player conditioning and sustaining the high-intensity style De Zerbi is known for.

Marcello Quinto also brings recent top-level experience, having worked alongside De Zerbi over the past three years at Brighton & Hove Albion and Olympique de Marseille. His focus will be on bridging development and first-team performance—an area Spurs are keen to strengthen as they build for both the present and the future.

They join an already strong technical bench that includes Assistant Coaches Bruno Saltor and Andreas Georgson, Individual Development Coach Cameron Campbell, and Goalkeeping Coach Fabian Otte. The continuity of Stuart Lewis and Dean Brill further ensures stability within the setup.

For Tottenham Hotspur, this overhaul signals more than just backroom changes it represents a clear intent to compete at a higher level.

With De Zerbi now surrounded by trusted allies, Spurs fans will be hoping the new structure translates into improved performances, better results, and a steady rise up the Premier League table as the season progresses.
