KIVO Head of Marketing Evans Kwofie Highlights Grassroots Development at U-17 Regional Champions Cup Launch
KIVO Head of Marketing, Evans Kwofie, has reaffirmed the company’s commitment to grassroots football development, describing its sponsorship of the Kivo U-17 Regional Champions Cup as an investment in the future of Ghanaian football.
Speaking at the official launch of the competition on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Conference Room in Accra, Kwofie said the initiative would provide young footballers with an important platform to showcase their talents, gain exposure and pursue their dreams.
The launch took place ahead of the maiden edition of the tournament, scheduled for November 8–15, 2026, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
Representing KIVO and Procus Ghana Limited, Kwofie expressed appreciation to the GFA for partnering with the company on the initiative, stressing that the development of Ghanaian football must begin at the grassroots level.

He noted that many of the country’s celebrated footballers, including Asamoah Gyan, André Ayew and Mohammed Kudus, started their journeys on local pitches before rising to international prominence.
According to him, while talent exists across the country, creating opportunities for young players to develop and demonstrate their abilities remains essential.
“For us at Kivo, sponsoring this tournament is much more than putting our brand name on a football competition. It is an investment in Ghana’s future,” Kwofie stated.
He further explained that KIVO’s commitment extends beyond providing quality food products, adding that the company recognises its responsibility to contribute to community development and youth empowerment.

Kwofie also highlighted the values football instils in young people, including discipline, teamwork, resilience, respect and hard work, describing them as important qualities for building responsible individuals and future leaders.
He encouraged participating players to remain focused, respect their coaches, take their education seriously and continue working hard towards their ambitions.
“Today, you may be playing for your region. Tomorrow, you could be representing Ghana on the world stage,” he told the young footballers.
He expressed confidence that the partnership with the GFA would help nurture the next generation of Ghanaian football stars, adding that even helping one young player take a significant step towards greatness would make the initiative worthwhile.

The KIVO U-17 Regional Champions Cup is expected to bring together emerging football talents from across the country’s regions in a competitive environment designed to strengthen grassroots football development and create pathways for future national team prospects.
Kwofie concluded by wishing all participating teams success and reaffirmed KIVO’s commitment to working with the GFA to nurture talent, inspire dreams and build the future of Ghanaian football.
