Ghana’s Black Sharks have been handed a challenging draw after being paired with hosts and defending champions Senegal in Group A of the 2026 CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations.
The Ghanaian side will also face Uganda and Mozambique in the group stage as they prepare for the continental tournament, which is scheduled to take place in Senegal from November 28 to December 6, 2026.
The draw presents a stern test for the Black Sharks, who will have to negotiate a difficult group featuring Senegal, a dominant force in African beach soccer.
The hosts and defending champions have won the last five editions of the competition and will be determined to maintain their dominance on home soil.
Ghana secured qualification for the tournament after overcoming West African rivals Nigeria 10-7 on aggregate in the qualifying round.
The Black Sharks played out a 3-3 draw in the first leg before producing an impressive 7-4 victory in the return fixture in Keta to seal their place at the finals.

The 2026 edition will feature eight national teams divided into two groups of four, with the top two teams from each group progressing to the semi-finals.
Having finished fifth at the 2024 edition in Egypt, Ghana will be hoping to make significant progress this time around and secure a historic first-ever semi-final appearance.
With Senegal standing in their way, the Black Sharks will need to deliver strong performances against all three opponents to keep their hopes of continental glory alive.
