Hearts of oak, Medeama & Karela United fined for flouting GFA Covid19 Matchday protocols [Details Here]

Hearts of Oak SC, Medeama SC and Karela FC have all been found to have breached the GFA Match day Covid-19 Protocols at their respective match venues.

All three Clubs have been sanctioned by the Disciplinary Committee in its decisions.

Hearts of Oak has been fined ¢5000 Violation Of the Approved GFA Matchday Covid-19 Protocols in their 2021 Ghana Premier League match against Great Olympics played on January 30, 2021Article 6.1 of the GFA match day Covid-19 Protocols.

The GFA statement reads:

“Hearts of Oak SC is hereby fined GHc5000 in accordance with Article 6.1.1 and warned to adhere strictly to the GFA Covid-19. Protocols in subsequent matches or face stiffer sanctions. The fine shall be paid to the GFA within 14 days failing which the GFA shall apply Article 15 of the Disciplinary Code”

But the good news for the Phobians is the the temporary decision to play all home matches behind Closed Doors at the Accra Sports Stadium is hereby lifted paving way for the club to admit fans to the stadium after successfully training their stewards per the GFA regulations for the second round.

Medeama Sporting Club is also fined ¢3000 for the same offense in their match against Accra Hearts of Oak, with the decision of no fans at their home venue lifted.

Karela United is slapped with a fine of ¢3000 for also making the same offense in their game against Accra Hearts of Oak. The ruling by the Discipline Committee of the GFA also paved way for Karela United to admit fans at the Cosby Awuah Memorial Park at Anyinase.
