The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has taken another significant step towards enhancing football development across the country with the presentation of five new pick-up vehicles under the FIFA Forward Programme.
The vehicles have been allocated to key operational units, including two Regional Football Associations (RFAs), the Technical Directorate, the GFA Headquarters, and the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence.

This latest intervention follows an earlier distribution, where eight out of Ghana’s ten football regions received similar vehicles nearly a year ago. The GFA had promised to extend the support to the remaining regions and other critical departments, contingent on the effective use of the initial fleet—a pledge now fulfilled.

With this addition, the Association has successfully expanded logistical support across all its regional structures while also strengthening its technical and administrative arms. The initiative is expected to improve mobility, coordination, and operational efficiency within Ghana’s football ecosystem.
For the Regional Football Associations, the vehicles will ease the burden of travelling across districts to monitor matches, organise competitions, and support grassroots, juvenile, and women’s football activities. Meanwhile, the Technical Directorate and the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence will benefit from enhanced logistics for the smooth execution of development programmes.

GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku highlighted that the initiative aligns with the broader vision of building a strong foundation for Ghana football, particularly at the grassroots level where the future of the sport is nurtured.
The Association has also stressed the importance of accountability, urging all beneficiary units to ensure that the vehicles are used strictly for football-related purposes and maintained with transparency and responsibility.

Ultimately, the GFA believes the true impact of this investment will be measured not by the vehicles themselves, but by how effectively they contribute to the growth and development of football across the country.
