Futurestars Charity has celebrated 11 years of impact in Ghana, bringing together partners, supporters and stakeholders to recognise a decade of collaboration and progress in improving opportunities for children through sport and education.
The charity marked the milestone on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, with a special Partners’ Night held under the theme “Connecting People. Celebrating Impact. Creating Change.”
The event provided an opportunity to appreciate the organisations, individuals, volunteers and communities whose contributions have played a significant role in advancing the charity’s mission over the past 11 years.

Beyond the anniversary celebration, the gathering highlighted the power of strategic partnerships in creating lasting change, particularly in education, healthcare, sports development and community empowerment.
Ipswich Town and Yinson Production extend support to schools
One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of football kits donated by English football club Ipswich Town Football Club to Yinson Production West Africa.
The kits will be distributed to schools supported by Yinson in Ghana’s Western Region, extending the benefits of the donation beyond Futurestars Charity’s six partner schools.
The initiative is expected to provide more children in Yinson’s operational communities with access to football equipment and opportunities to participate in sporting activities.
The presentation demonstrated how collaboration between sporting institutions, corporate organisations and charitable initiatives can expand opportunities for young people.
Pegasus Publishing donates GH₵98,200 worth of educational books
The celebration also welcomed a new partnership with Pegasus Publishing Limited, which has joined Futurestars Charity as its newest educational partner.
As part of the occasion, Pegasus Publishing presented educational books valued at GH₵98,200 to representatives of the charity’s partner schools.

The donation includes textbooks covering seven core subjects for Junior High School students from JHS 1 to JHS 3, alongside eight additional storybooks designed to promote reading and improve literacy among pupils.
The contribution is expected to strengthen teaching and learning while providing children with additional educational resources to support their academic development.
Janet’s journey highlights the power of educational investment
Reflecting on the charity’s achievements over the past year, its Year 11 Impact presentation highlighted significant progress across its partner schools.
A particularly inspiring milestone was the academic journey of Janet, Futurestars Charity’s first scholarship recipient to complete all three years of Senior High School.
Having received support from the charity since Class 5, Janet has progressed to the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).
Her achievement represents an important milestone for the organisation and demonstrates the long-term impact of sustained investment in children’s education.
Over the past year, the charity has continued to strengthen educational opportunities through academic assistance, reading programmes, teacher development and improvements to school environments.
Expanding healthcare and sporting opportunities
Futurestars Charity also highlighted its interventions in children’s health and wellbeing through partnerships with organisations including M&M Health, Pepsodent and Trust Alliance Group.
These collaborations have provided children with access to eye screenings, oral health education and dedicated health support.
In sports development, the organisation continued to use football, rugby league and golf as platforms for building confidence, developing skills and creating opportunities for young people.
Initiatives such as the Rida Cup Kids Putting event also gave children opportunities to explore different sporting disciplines and develop interests beyond the classroom.
Another significant development during the year was the addition of Community 11 Complex Primary School to the charity’s growing network of partner schools, extending its reach to more children.
Looking towards the future
As Futurestars Charity celebrates its 11th anniversary, the organisation has acknowledged the contributions of its corporate partners, volunteers, schools, supporters and communities in sustaining its work.
From volunteers in the United Kingdom helping to prepare sporting equipment for Ghana to corporate organisations supporting educational resources, healthcare interventions, school improvements and sporting initiatives, the charity says every contribution remains important to its mission.
The Partners’ Night reinforced the importance of collective action and sustained partnerships in creating opportunities for children and strengthening communities.
With 11 years of work behind it, Futurestars Charity remains committed to changing young lives through sport and education, while building stronger partnerships to extend its impact to more communities.

The organisation has encouraged individuals and institutions interested in supporting its mission to learn more about its activities and partnership opportunities through its official website, https://futurestarscharity.org.uk/.
