Egypt and Mauritius had shown their supremacy in just ended Africa Air Badminton Championships 2025 which was held at Laboma Beach Accra as reported by Accra Sports News.
Egypt’s team clinched the title at the African Air Badminton Championship after defeating Nigeria in the final of the Team Rely event securing its position as the top team on the continent.
Both Egypt and Nigeria had already booked their tickets to the upcoming Air Badminton World Cup, set to take place in the United Arab Emirates, as the top two finishers in the continental tournament automatically qualify for the global competition.
Mauritius team won Gold in the Mens Triples, Gold in the Mens Doubles, Silver in the Women Doubles and Bronze in the Team Event – Bronze .
Host Nation, Ghana Secures Silver in Mix Team Relay and the only medal in the Africa Air Badminton Championships 2025.

With three players on the court, the game is played outdoor and designed to create opportunities for people of all ages.
The nature of court is different it can be played badminton on hard, grass and sand surfaces in parks, gardens, streets, playgrounds and beaches.
In the Region 2 AirBadminton Championship, which featured five West African countries namley Ghana, Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso, and Ivory Coast, Ghana won silver for her outstanding performances.
At the end of the region II tournament, the final standings were as follows: Benin claimed the gold medal, Ghana secured the silver medal, and Ivory Coast took home the bronze medal.
