Transfer News: Former UD Tataouine Midfielder James Akaminko Open To Asante Kotoko Move

Former AshantiGold  box-to-box midfielder James Akaminko has confirmed his readiness to join the Porcupine Warriors few days after terminating his contract with the Tunisian club.

The 25-year-old, who sealed a two-year deal with Tunisian club US Tataouine in September as a free agent, has returned to Ghana only a month later after mutually terminating the deal and believes he can realise his dreams with Kotoko.

The Porcupine Warriors have already signed ten players with the aim of winning the Premier League and reaching the group stage of Caf Champions League.

I’m ready to join Asante Kotoko ahead of the new season only if they need my services and make an official bid,” Akaminko told Sikka FM.

“Kotoko is a big club with lots of opportunities which every player can build his career on. Therefore, I’m ever ready,” he added.

Akaminko also shed light on why his move to Tunisian side was terminated after only a month in the North African country.

“I was asked to do another trials which my agent and I declined,” he said.

Many clubs were interested in me but the club prevented them from getting access to me.

“I’m a full package. I’m all in one. No team can get rid of me just like that. I do everything with passion, I don’t want to lose,” he added.

Akaminko was an integral part of the Ashanti Gold squad that won the Tier Two competition in 2019.
