Still Believe FC have secured a historic promotion to the Division One League following their deserved 2-0 win over Desidero FC in the Greater Accra Division Two promotion playoff.

A brace from in-form Aziz Musibau were all that Still Believe FC needed to catapult themselves in Ghana’s second tier competition.

The Accra Sports Stadium was moved to a rapturous atmosphere when Aziz Musibau fired home twice in two minutes to secure the Believers a ticket to compete in the Division One League next season.

Having enjoyed an incredible campaign in both the regular league and the middle league, the in-form Still Believe FC were set for a historic clash with Desidero in what was described a clash of the titans.

But the Green and Blacks could always trust Aziz to bang in the goals for them anytime in the game.

With 30 goals in 29 games, Aziz was the key man for Still Believe and he proved why he deserved the eventual player of the season with a blistering performance capped with 2 goals in the final game to end his season with 32 goals in 30 games.

The first half of the game remained unbreakable as both side failed to find the back of the net despite several attempts.

Returning from the break, Still Believe showed the right attitude and energy by pushing their opponents to their own goal area.

It was the incessant pressure put on Desidero by Still Believe that saw Shaibu Abdallah brought down in front of the opponent’s goal area on the 65th minute.

Eventual top scorer, Aziz Misbau made no mistake by effecting a Beckham-like free kick straight into the net to break the virginity of the game.

While in celebration mood, Misbau won for his side and himself another free kick which he superbly fired home to increase his personal tally and his side’s to 2-0.

Desidero erupted from the sudden slumber that saw them go down twice in two minutes to fight back but their efforts were not enough to see them reduce the tally despite coming close.

Still Believe were handed two beautiful chances to have taken the tally to four with two minutes to end proceedings but their efforts were wasted.

The game ended in favour of the Believers who will see themselves in the Zone Three of the Division One League next season.
