Ghana Table Tennis Association Set To Host Another Talent Discovery Tournament

Among the flagship programs of the Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) meant to unearth talents from across the length and breadth of the country is the Youth Discovery Series.

GTTA leveraged on this project to discover talented players such as Blessing Labanti, Joanita Borteye, Emmanuella Yaa Kyere, James Marfo, Francis Antwi, Naomi Arhin, Simon Osei, Derrick Assigbey, and a host of others. Some of these players have gone on to represent the country in various tournaments both local and overseas.

The Series continues unabated this Saturday 1st July 2023 at the D G Hathiramani Sports Hall of the Accra Sports Stadium.

It is an open invitation and players from the 16 regions in Ghana are expected to troop to the hall to exhibit their skills and dexterity.

The Association despite its financial constraints has pledged to bear the transportation fares for all females who will be coming from outside Accra.

The President of the Association, Mawuko Afadzinu is determined to utilize the scarce resources to produce the best for the nation and to also serve as the basis to prepare adequately for the African Games to be hosted by Ghana.

The Series has been categorized into U21 Boys, U15 Boys, and U21 ladies.
150 players are expected to be in attendance.
