Jerry Ahmed Shaib Popular known as “Chorkor Lawyer”, he is a Lawyer by profession, he holds Bachelor of Arts in Social Science (Economics and Sociology)
He proceeded to University of Ghana where he obtained an Executive MBA in Marketing.
He was awarded a Qualifying Certificate in Law by the Ghana School of Law in 2010 and called to the Bar in the same year as Barrirster and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana.
Jerry Ahmed worked as special Aide to the former Mayor of Accra, Hon. Stanley Nii Adjiri- Blankson and led various changes initiatives driven by the Accra Metropolitan Assembly.
He has also represented Ghana at various for functions on behalf of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly. He attended a sustainable development program in Liverpool as Ghana’s representative.
Jerry Ahmed was the New Patriotic Party’s 2016 Parliamentary Candidate for Ablekuma South where he lost to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Dr. Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije.
Hon. Okoe Vanderpuije retain his seat with 31,927 votes (54.36%) while Jerry Ahmed had 26, 495 (45.11%)
In April 2018, Jerry Ahmed Shaib was Appointed Deputy CEO of Coastal Development Authority (CODA). Later in October, 2018 the CEO, Mr. Samuel Attah- Mensah resigned and President Akufo Addo appointed Mr.Jerry Ahmed Shaib as the CEO of the Coastal Development Authority in pursuant to Section 3(1) of the Coastal Development Authority Act, 2017 (Act 961). And ever since he assumed office the Coastal Communities of Ghana has regained hope.
Jerry Ahmed Shaib is the currently Deputy Secretary General for the Ghana Olymic Committee (GOC) beat competition from Bawa Fuseini polling 44 of the 63 votes cast while Bawa could only manage 19.
Ghana Weightlifting Federation (GWF) held a virtual elective Congress on Wednesday, February 18 to confirm Jerry Ahmed Shaib as the New President of Ghana Weightlifting Federation (GWF) for the next four years as he went unopposed.
Jerry Ahmed Shaib ESQ took over from Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah who served as the President of the GWF for the past eight years.
