The Northern Regional Football Association (NRFA) has thrown its support behind Dakpemah Ladies and Nasara Ladies as the two clubs prepare for the upcoming GFA Regional Women’s Championship playoffs in Tamale.
NRFA Chairman Alhaji Abu-Hassan Rhyzo on Tuesday presented financial and logistical assistance to both teams to aid their preparations for the crucial competition, which offers qualification to next season’s Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League.

On behalf of the NRFA, Alhaji Rhyzo donated GHC1,000, four boxes of Awake Mineral Water, and two boxes of Yazz sanitary pads to each club as part of efforts to strengthen their readiness for the tournament.
The NRFA Chairman also announced a special winning bonus of GHC500 for every victory secured by either club during their five playoff matches.

Dakpemah Ladies and Nasara Ladies are the two representatives from the Northern Region in the championship and will be aiming to secure promotion to the top tier of women’s football in Ghana.
The Northern Zone playoffs are scheduled to begin on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale, where clubs from across the zone will compete for qualification to the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League.
Dakpemah Ladies will kick off their campaign against Upper West champions Chewia Ladies, while Nasara Ladies face a difficult opening fixture against tournament favourites Supreme Ladies from Kumasi.

Nasara Ladies will be particularly determined to make history this year after falling short in four previous attempts to qualify for the Women’s Premier League.
