Nigerien striker Victorien Adebayor has joined Egyptian Premier League (EPL) side ENPPI on a season-long loan from his club HB Køge, according to Ghanasoccernet.

The Nigerien will continue his development with ENPPI in the 2021-22 Egyptian football season.

He penned a three-year deal with the Danish side HB Køge in 2020 after bagging 20 goals in 24 appearances for Inter Allies in the Ghana top-flight.

The player failed to settle after moving to Europe, and the director of the club Per Rud believed a temporary return to home could help the forward’s career.

Howbeit, Adebayor returned to Ghana in the second half of the 2020-21 football season with Legon Cities and endured a disappointing spell after managing just a goal in 12 games for the Royals.

He has 29 caps for the Niger national team and has scored 9 goals. He recently struck twice in 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifications against Djibouti.
