In the team’s first pre-season encounter following the ease of restrictions on sporting activities by government, Golden Strikers FC thrashed Victory Academy 5 -1 at the Botwe new town park on Wednesday morning.
Striker Hamid Alhassan opened the flood gates for the Division Two league outfit in the first half as he doubled the lead to set the team in motion for a comfortable victory.
A goal each from Okrah Hubert, Abdullah Fessal and Ahmed Zakari Sakibu added to the tally to seal the win over the visitors.
The results also gives an indication of the team’s new technical leadership under new Manager Sule Adamu who joined the team from Vision FC for the 2020/21 football season.Meanwhile the team will undertake a recovery exercise at the team’s training grounds on Thursday morning.
The Greater Accra Division Two League is expected to kick off in January 2021.
