Immigrations Officer Richard Achore Bags Media and Administrative Officer Role at Ghana’s Para Badminton Association

The Para Badminton Association of Ghana have officially named Assistant Immigration Control Officer (AICO I), Richard Achore, as their new Media and Administrative Officer, with the appointment taking effect from May 19, 2025.

This recognition comes as a result of Mr. Achore’s consistent dedication and rising impact within the para-sports fraternity in the country.

Over the years, he has been a quiet but powerful force in promoting inclusivity and visibility for athletes with disabilities, using his communication prowess and professional discipline to amplify their voices.

His background in immigration and public service positions him uniquely to bridge administrative gaps while boosting the media presence of both organisations.

The former Top FM sports journalist’s appointment is seen as a strategic step toward strengthening coordination across key stakeholders and pushing Ghana’s para-sports agenda onto a more prominent stage.

Achore’s track record includes years of behind-the-scenes support for para-athletes; telling their stories, fighting for their recognition, and celebrating their triumphs.

His new role is not only a testament to his past contributions but also a vote of confidence in his ability to elevate the narrative surrounding Ghana’s para-athletic community.

As Ghana prepares for greater participation in global para-sport events, his leadership is expected to enhance stakeholder communication, improve organisational efficiency, and spotlight the achievements of para-athletes.

Leaders of both bodies have expressed their full confidence in Mr. Achore’s ability to deliver innovation, structure, and a renewed focus on media engagement in this critical role.
