Accra Hearts of Oak clinched the 2025 Gbese Mantse Homowo Peace Cup, with a 2-0 win over Kpando Heart of Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Goals from Frank Duku in the 36th minute and Hamza Issah in the 40th minute sealed the win for the Phobian Club in the preseason contest and lift the title.
The match kicked off with Ga Gbese Mantse Nii Ayi-Bonte II performing the ceremonial kickoff.

In the second half, Hearts of Oak bounced back on a higher note and had two chances come their way in the early stages but both Frank Doku and Hamza Issah had their efforts gone wide.
Kwadwo Obeng held play very well in the 55th minute and tried putting Hutor through with a great mirror pass but was stopped hugely by Osei Asibey.
The Rainbow Club made a great run towards goal and their quest to getting their third fell on the path of Mawuli Wayo but failed to get it at the back of the net in the 71st minute.
Just two minutes later, Heart of Lions also broke on a counter and Atta Agyei was picked up on the left flanks and tried catching off Benjamin Asare by surprise with his cross but missed the post to a goal-kick.
The game ended in a 2-0 score line with Hearts of Oak winning the trophy for the second time. Heart of Lions lost the previous edition 8-7 on penalties after a 1-1 stalemate in regulation time at the same venue.
