Ghana’s Black Loopers Gear Up for Historic Table Tennis Championships

Ghana’s female table tennis team, known as the Black Loopers, has been paired with Puerto Rico, Austria, and Angola at the ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals London 2026. The draw for the championships took place at The Shard, setting the stage for a historic celebration of 100 years of World Championships.

The ceremony was attended by notable dignitaries, including ITTF President Petra Sörling, ITTF Executive Vice President Beatrice Romanescu, and World Table Tennis CEO Steve Dainton. The top eight seeds in each competition will contest Stage 1a at OVO Arena Wembley on May 2-3, with all teams progressing to Stage 2. Their group performances will determine their seedings for the knockout rounds.

The Black Loopers will be looking to make a mark on the world stage as they compete against top teams from around the globe. The championships will take place from April 28 to May 10, 2026, at the OVO Arena Wembley and Copper Box Arena in London. Tickets are currently on sale via Ticketmaster and AXS.
