Ghana Rugby Football Union Represents Ghana at Rugby Africa’s 17th AGM in Kampala

The Ghana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) represented Ghana at the 17th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Rugby Africa, held in Kampala, Uganda. The meeting brought together delegates from 32 member unions, with Ghana being represented by GRFU President, Ms. Rafatu Inusah.

All resolutions presented at the AGM were passed with a majority vote of over 50 percent of member unions present and entitled to vote, meeting the constitutional quorum requirements. The AGM marked a significant milestone in the growth and development of rugby in Africa, with key highlights including the adoption of a new “fit for purpose” Constitution, introduction of a North and South regional structure, and the incorporation of gender diversity safeguards for leadership roles.

Other notable outcomes include the inclusion of environmental sustainability as a formal objective and strengthened transparency and governance across the 40 member unions. Ms. Inusah’s participation underscores Ghana’s commitment to governance excellence, structural development, and sustainable growth of the game, both nationally and continentally.
