From history-makers to finalists
Their run in Tokyo eclipsed the mark set three years earlier by the team of Sean Safo-Antwi, Benjamin Azamati, Joseph Oduro Manu, and Joseph Paul Amoah, underlining Ghana’s growing depth in sprinting talent.
In the final, the Ghanaians put up another bold display, crossing the line in fourth place behind the United States, Canada, and the Netherlands.
Despite narrowly missing out on a medal, Ghana’s relay squad earned widespread praise for their historic run and consistency on the global stage.
Their fourth-place finish also came with a prize of $16,000, adding to the significance of their achievement.
