Ghana Golf Association Trains Journalists on Golf Reporting and Laws

The Ghana Golf Association (GGA) organized a comprehensive seminar today, aimed at equipping journalists with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively report on golf and its intricacies.

The seminar, held at Bok Nam Kim Golf Club in Accra, brought together sports journalists and enthusiasts, providing a platform for them to deepen their understanding of golf’s basic laws and nuances.

“Golf is a rapidly growing sport in Ghana, and we recognize the critical role media plays in its development,” said the President. “This seminar demonstrates our commitment to empowering journalists to tell compelling golf stories, promoting the sport’s growth and popularity.”

Participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity. “This seminar has been incredibly informative,” said one journalist. “I’m now confident in my ability to accurately report on golf tournaments and events.”

Before the workshop, the media was taken through the Golf court by the GAA executives and Golf coaches to have a feel for the sports.

The Ghana Golf Association plans to organize regular training sessions and workshops focusing on specific aspects of golf reporting. By investing in journalists’ education, the GGA aims to establish Ghana as a hub for excellent golf reporting, fostering a stronger connection between the sport and its audience.
