Community Care: JAS Foundation Organise Free Breast Screening in Weija-Gbawe Constituency

JAS Foundation in partnership with Naa Yaaniede II, Queen Mother of Gbawe Kwatei Family and Naa Amakuma Otuobom II, Queen Mother of Weija organized a free breast cancer screening exercise in Gbawe and Weija Traditional areas all in the Weija- Gbawe Constituency on the 21st and 22nd October, 2023 respectively

The screening was aimed at creating awareness on breast cancer among the women to enable them to seek early treatment.

The Executive Director of the foundation Jerry Ahmed Shaib, in his address stated that, Breast Cancer continued to affect families and communities across the world and his commitment towards such wonderful initiatives moving forward.

The two-day event has been a resounding success, with significantly reducing breast cancer mortality rates through the breast screening exercise and early detection.

The Queen mothers who both took active part in the exercise expressed their sincerest gratitude to the foundation for organizing such an event during this critical times where health issues particularly breast cancer was a major global concern.

In all the exercise welcomed women of all ages who benefited greatly and appreciated the initiative of the JAS Foundation in caring for the people.
