English giants Chelsea will honour late former Ghana international Christian Atsu by completing a school building he started. Atsu spent five seasons on the books of Chelsea despite failing to make a competitive appearance for the Blues. On Saturday, Chelsea engaged Everton in an English Premier League game, which ended with the two clubs sharing the spoils.

Atsu spent time on loan at Everton and in an incredible gesture by the London outfit, all jerseys used in the game including a Juan Mata’s Galatasaray jersey will be auctioned to finance the completion of Atsu’s school.

Money raised will be going to Arms Around the Child, a charity for which Christian was an ambassador, and it will fund the completion of the school they had started building in his native Ghana,” the club announced.
