CAF CL: Former Accra Hearts of Oak Star Tips Club To Eliminate Wydad In Casablanca
Revered African legend icon and a past winner of the CAF Champions League has tipped Accra Hearts of Oak SC to book a place in the money zone of the continent’s premier inter-club championship ahead of their winner takes all showdown in Morocco.
The Ghanaian side edged out Wydad Athletic Club (WAC) in a tight 1-0 win and will book a place in the group stages if they avoid losing by a 2-0 margin or more.
Ahead of the return leg on Sunday October 24, 2021, one of the continent’s most feared attackers in his days, heaped to the defense of Accra Hearts of Oak SC based on the quality of players assembled by Samuel Boadu.
Charles Asampong Taylor, a winner of the 2000 CAF Champions League with Accra Hearts of Oak SC, did not mince words in celebrating his former side and how they can meander their way out of the North Africans in the return leg.
“I believe they (Hearts) can qualify. Looking at the team’s preparation and the attitude of the the players, I’m confident they can qualify.” Taylor opined on Accra based Asempa FM
