Accra Majestics Sports Academy has celebrated a significant milestone, marking five years of inspiring young people and transforming communities through sport with a month-long anniversary celebration filled with community service, sporting activities, recognition, and reflection.
The academy officially turned five on 10 July 2026, but the celebrations extended throughout the month, bringing together players, coaches, volunteers, partners, supporters, and friends to honour the journey and achievements of the past five years.
The anniversary activities kicked off on 11 July with a community clean-up exercise at Labadi Beach, where members of the Accra Majestics family joined forces to promote environmental sustainability. The initiative underscored the academy’s belief that sport should serve as a platform for positive social change and community development beyond competition.
A week later, on 18 July, the celebrations continued with an exciting anniversary games festival featuring rugby, football, skipping competitions, and several recreational activities. The event created an atmosphere of unity, teamwork, and sportsmanship as participants of all ages came together to celebrate the academy’s achievements.
One of the highlights of the event was a special awards presentation recognizing the invaluable contributions of individuals and organisations that have supported the academy’s growth.
Certificates were presented to anniversary partners, the day’s match official, long-serving players, and dedicated volunteers whose commitment has helped shape Accra Majestics over the years.
Outstanding performers in the various competitions were also honoured with certificates in recognition of their achievements, adding a competitive yet celebratory touch to the occasion.
The month-long festivities concluded with a symbolic cake-cutting ceremony and a champagne toast, as members of the Accra Majestics family celebrated five years of dedication, resilience, and shared success.
Reflecting on the milestone, the academy described the anniversary as more than just marking the passage of time. It was an opportunity to celebrate the people, partnerships, and communities that have played vital roles in its journey.
Since its establishment, Accra Majestics Sports Academy has grown from a grassroots sports initiative into a thriving multi-sport academy, using sport as a powerful tool for youth development, leadership, education, and community empowerment.
With five successful years behind it, the academy remains focused on nurturing talent, creating opportunities for young athletes, and expanding its positive impact across Ghana and beyond.
Five years completed. A journey celebrated. A legacy still being built.
