Ghana’s goal monger who was dropped from the World Cup squad scores, assists worldie against Westerlo in the Belgium Pro league

Ghana winger Joseph Paintsil scored and provided an assist in KRC Genk away win over Westerlo in the Belgium Pro League on Tuesday evening.

KRC Genk managed to inflict a 3-2 defeat on Westerlo to extend their lead on top of the table after match-week 21.

Paintsil aided his teammate Ouattara Mohammed to open the floodgate with a fine strike on the 7th minute of the game.

The 24-year-old registered his name on the score sheet on the 24th minute to extend the lead for the Blue and White lads as the headed into the break with a 2-0 win.

The host, Westerlo, levelled the score with two quick goals through Maxime De Cuyper and Van Den Keybus on the 52nd and 56th minute respectively.

A 64th minute strike from Daniel Munoz secured all the needed points for KRC Genk at the Het Kuipje Stadium.

The Ghana international enjoyed 90 minutes of the game.

Paintsil has netted eight goals and provided nine assists across all competitions for KRC Genk in the ongoing season.
