CAF CL: Asante Kotoko Progresses To Next Stage

Asante Kotoko have had their CAF Champions League game against Nouadhibou FC called off again.

The game which was the second leg tie was supposed to have come off at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday afternoon but was postponed to Sunday due to Coronavirus issues.

The match was delayed for overly an hour due to an impasse between the visitors and the officiating officials.

Nouadhibou FC have had two of their players taken to a nearby clinic for isolation after testing positive for the novel Coronavirus.

Yesterday, five of their players were Coronavirus positive which saw the game postponed by CAF today (Sunday) but today two tested positive of the disease and have been subsequently been transferred to a nearby clinic in Accra.

According to reporters, Togolese referee Komlanvi Aklassou has called off the game for the second time and the officiating officials have left the stadium with the two teams doing same.

Asante Kotoko have been rewarded the three points after the game was called off.
