Asante Kotoko opponent for 2020/21 CAF Champions League preliminary round announced
Asante Kotoko SC has been paired with the champions of Mauritanian Premier League FC Nouadhibou in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League (CL) for the 2020/21 season.
The two-time CAF Champions League winners were drawn alongside the Mauritanian club during a draw for the competition on held on Monday, November 9, 2020. The winner of the two-legged fixture will face either Al Hilal of Sudan or Ugandan giants Vipers FC.
FC Nouadhibou is the most successful club in Mauritania Football, winning their top-flight league eight times. They have emerged as champions for three consecutive seasons since the 2017/18 season. FC Nouadhibou was founded in 1999
