CAS Set Date To Rule On The Case Between Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer And The GFA

The court of Arbitration for Sports has set a date for the ruling of Mr Wilfred Osei Kwaku’s case against the Ghana football association which is expected to take place on Friday, July 17, 2020.

The 2019 Ghana football Association’s presidential aspirant took the association to the court of arbitration for an inappropriate disqualification from the presidential race by the then Normalisation Committee led by Dr Kofi Amoah.

A statement from CAS to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) reads,
“On behalf of the Deputy President of CAS Appeals Arbitration Division, please be advised that the time limit to communicate the Arbitrated Award to the parties, pursuant to Article R59 of the code of sports- related Arbitration has been extended until 17 July, 2020.

The former GFA Presidential aspirant is the owner of Tema based club, Tema Youth.

The club has nurtured many young football talents who have risen through the ranks to become a force to reckon with.

The likes of Ernest Sowah, Francis Narh, Moses Odjer are all products of Tema Youth FC.

The club was relegated from the Ghana Premier League in 2017.
