World Cup 2022: Kudus Mohammed is the second youngest African Player to score twice in a world Cup game

At 22 years and 118 days old, Mohammed Kudus is the second youngest African player to score two goals in a World Cup match, after Ahmed Musa (21y 254d) for Nigeria against Argentina in 2014.

Ahmed Musa was 21 years and 254 days when he scored two goals in Nigeria’s 3-2 lost to Argentina at the 2014 FIFA world cup.

Mohammed Kudus became the second youngest African play to do the same with Ahmed Musa at 22 years and 118 days.

Kudus scored his first-ever World Cup goal when he doubled the lead for Ghana in the 34th.

In the second half, the Koreans began to dominate and just before the hour mark, lanky forward Cho Guesung beat his marker Salisu to pull one back for the Asians.

Three minutes later the 24-year-old levelled for South Korea with a powerful header from a cross from the left.

Ghanaians then had Kudus to thank after he completed his brace in the 68th, which proved enough to be the winning strike.
