Bowmarie Resort, in collaboration with Ashlid Enterprise, has officially unveiled the “Ashlid Ball”, the designated match ball for the third edition of the Bowmarie Community Football Gala Competition.
The much-anticipated grassroots football event, proudly organised by Bowmarie Resort in the Kpandai District of the Northern Region, will kick off from Thursday, December 18, to Friday, December 26, 2025, at the Kpandai Town Park.
This year’s tournament promises to be the biggest yet, featuring 15 community teams and drawing an estimated 2,000 to 5,000 spectators per matchday from Kpandai and its surrounding areas.
The Bowmarie Gala has grown into a cornerstone event that celebrates community spirit, youth development, and social cohesion through football. It provides a vibrant platform where corporate brands can engage with grassroots audiences, fostering a sense of unity and belonging through sport.
According to Mr. Emmanuel Bow, CEO of Bowmarie Resort, the competition continues to embody the power of football in strengthening community ties and inspiring the next generation.
“The Gala showcases the power of sports in fostering unity and camaraderie. The competition has become an annual tradition, attracting spectators and participants from various communities, and this year is going to be massive,” said Mr. Bow.
Since its inception, the Bowmarie Gala has produced thrilling rivalries and memorable champions — Samba Boys FC clinched the first edition, while Wailers FC triumphed in the second.
As the countdown begins, all eyes are on Kpandai once again. The question now is: Who will lift the trophy this year?
