Division One League outfit Tamale City FC have acquired a new Hyundai 35 seater bus ahead of the start of the upcoming season tier Campaign, schedule to begin on 8th January, 2021.

The club lost ownership of their previous team bus to Real Tamale United last season, after their former bankroller who was also the former Bank of Ghana governor Dr. Nashiru Issahaku, quit the club to join RTU.

The situation forced Tamale City to rely heavily on rented buses as their only means of transportation to and from away venues throughout the pre-covid-19 Division One League, which was eventually truncated over emergence of the pandemic.

“On such an auspicious occasion, I’m pleased to announce to you all the realisation of a wish you all as well as our gallant players have for so long wished for, which is for the club to acquire it’s own team bus,” Jones revealed.

“By the kind grace of Allah subhaana wa ta’aalaa, that dream has materialised in the form of a 35-seater Hyundai bus, branded in our lovely radiant gold colour.

“In view of some notable constraints,we have had to buy a used bus which we have thoroughly rehabilitated and rebranded in our colours for use by the team this season, so that by next season when, In Sha Allah, we’ll be campaigning in the Ghana Premier League, we plan to acquire a luxurious, well-equipped team bus,” he added.

Tamale City embarked on their pre-season tour in Accra but have since returned to Tamale to wrap up preparations for the commencement of the Division One League season.
