Having departed from Hearts of Oak last season, Boadu has been actively involved in national team duties while simultaneously coaching Cornerstones, a lower-tier side based in Kumasi.

His impressive coaching record, highlighted by his role in transforming Medeama into title contenders during his tenure and leading the Phobians to a trophy-laden brief spell, positions him as a compelling choice for this position.

Under Boadu’s leadership, Chelsea aims to elevate their performance and mount a strong challenge in the GPL.

Currently occupying the sixth position on the league table, the former Ghanaian champions sits five points behind league leaders Samartex, with 15 games remaining in the season.
