The ongoing African Boxing Championships in Dakar Senegal got off to an explosive start with some exceptional bouts.

Already, one major upset has been recorded with the elimination of the much fancied and hyped Seth Gyimah aka Freezy Macbones.

He lost on a close call points decision to Senegal’s Seydou Konate but has vowed to try again when the world qualification Championships comes around in early 2024.

It has been rough and tough for Coach Asare’s fighters with 4 Ghanaian boxers eliminated so far and 8 still in contention for qualification to the quarter finals with 3 of them in action today.

Interestingly, Ghana’s opponents today are all from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
