Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Richard Attah Revealed how he lost a lucrative deal due to the betting scandal surrounding the Ghana Premier League.

The Ghana Premier League winner almost landed himself a move prior to the end of the season after impressing at Hearts of Oak.

Attah was one of the top goalkeepers during the 2020/21 season which saw him attract interests from Clubs

The 27-year-old has revealed how he lost a juicy offer due to a betting scandal between Ashanti Gold and Inter Allies.

Getting to the end of the season, I had an offer from a top African club,” he spoke on Angel FM.

“We started talking but they later called off the deal.

“Initially I didn’t understand but later the club explained that because of the betting and match fixing issues that happened in the Ghana League, they don’t trust the league.

“That issue was the reason the deal was called off”.

Ashanti Gold and Inter Allies were the talking points in the last game of the season after a video footage shows how they conspicuously played out their match day 34 game at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

A situation which has since left the two teams under investigation by the Ghana football Association.
