His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo is set to commission the much awaited AstroTurf at Alajo to pave way for it’s usage.
The capital based AstroTurf forms part of some selected sports facilities either built from the scratch or rehabilitated across the country and will be commissioned on Friday May 20, 2022.
A number of football clubs in the vicinity led by Alajo United FC have been boosted with the massive renovation work and will immediately return to the pitch to lessen their woes on match days.
Youth of Alajo had previously hinted at illegally using the facility due to delayed commissioning but will now see this as welcoming news.
A team from the Flagstaff house led the President, HE Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo and the Sports Minister, Hon Ussif Mustafa, will officially commission the facility on Friday.
Alajo United FC are already playing in the Greater Accra Regional Division II League and will gladly resort to the newly renovated pitch as their home grounds.
