Panthers claw back from the jaws of defeat to share the spoils with Thunder Queens in six-goal thriller

A six-goal thrilling result was produced at the Madina Astro turf Ghana Women’s Premier new babies Ridge City FC and Thunder Queens played out a 3-3 draw.

The match was one of the fascinating fixtures in the week three of Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League.

And the fixture, a high quality game had all the attributes of games involving both sides. Strong challenges, near misses, drama and an equal share of the spoils.

A fast-paced approach by the away side saw them unsettle the Panthers, who had to play on the break in the early minutes of the game.

Thunder Queens ensured that their pace on the flanks were well utilised and in just 2 minutes into the game got their opener through Gifty Osei.

Juliet Abankwa doubled the lead for the visitors in the 10th minutes of the game through a beautiful free – kick.

The home team after considering two goals decided to surge forward and the efforts were rewarded when Cecilia Agyiri pulled one back on the 12th minutes of the game.

Just after everyone taught the game is going to end 2-1 in the first half, then the visitors was awarded a penalty in the stoppage time and Gloria Fosuaa convicted beautiful for with the game ended 3-1 in favor of the visitors.

And 13 minutes into the second half, Cecilia Agyiri made it 3-2 for Ridge City FC.

Loretta Afful did the magic for the Panthers to make it 3-3 on the 58tg minute of the game.

Ridge City FC are yet to win a game in three matches played, while Thunder Queens won one and drew two in the ongoing  Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League.
