OFFICIAL: Ghana Black Stars midfielder Edmund Addo has completed a move to Serbian league champions Red Star Belgrade

Black Stars midfielder, Edmund Addo, the talented midfielder of the Black Stars, has finalized his transfer from Spartak Subotica to the renowned Serbian club, Red Star Belgrade.

Since his time at Sheriff Tiraspol, the 23-year-old has been on the radar of the Serbian champions. In January 2023, Addo departed Sheriff Tiraspol to join Spartak Subotica in the top flight league of Serbia. Despite only playing 11 matches following his move, his performances as a starter for Spartak Subotica impressed Red Star.

Having successfully undergone his medical examination, the midfielder is now poised to join his fellow Black Stars teammate, Osman Bukari, at Red Star Belgrade.

Addo initially joined Subotica on a free transfer last season, signing a contract until 2025. However, after just one season, he has decided to part ways and join the Serbian champions, providing him with the opportunity to compete in the Champions League.

The midfielder gained recognition during his time at his former club, FC Sheriff, when they embarked on an impressive run two seasons ago, which included a victory over Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.
