FEFCAN Ladies have been crowned champions of the 2026 Cheetah Cup Girls Division after edging Ghanaian side Value Girls 1-0 in a historic final at the Yartel Okoso Park, popularly known as the Predators Den, in Senya Beraku in Ghana’s Central Region.
The Nigerian side produced a disciplined and determined performance to claim the trophy, ending a memorable campaign with victory in a final that brought together two teams making their maiden appearances in the Cheetah Cup final.
It was a landmark occasion for the Girls Division, with Ghana and Nigeria represented in an all-West African showdown that promised to be a celebration of emerging women’s football talent.
FEFCAN Ladies ultimately had the final say, securing the narrow 1-0 victory to etch their name into the history of the competition as the first-ever champions of the Girls Division in 2026.
Value Girls, despite their best efforts, were unable to find the breakthrough as FEFCAN Ladies remained composed under pressure and protected their advantage until the final whistle.
The triumph sparked jubilant celebrations among the Nigerian contingent, who had travelled to Ghana with ambitions of making an impact and leave Senya Beraku as champions.

For Value Girls, the defeat ended a remarkable run to the final, but their performance throughout the tournament underlined the growing strength of women’s youth football in Ghana.
