Morocco Ambassador to Ghana, H.E Ambassador Imane Ouaadil bids farewell to globetrotter, Ayad El Mouftahi

The Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Ghana led by H.E Ambassador Imane Ouaadil, on Friday, December 2, 2022, hosted a special event for the Moroccan Globetrotter Ayad El Mouftahi, who stopped over in Ghana on his global cycling tour.

H.E Ambassador Imane Ouaadil who welcomed the 26-year-old globetrotter to the Moroccan community in Ghana, Accra extolled the adventurous efforts of Ayad El Mouftahi to cycle through Africa with a message of pan-Africanism and peaceful co-existence.

The ambassador reaffirmed that El Mouftahi’s tour across the African continent, which bore the phrase “The Morocco of Today is not the Morocco of Yesterday,” had several sublime meanings of messages, sanctified by the King Mohammed VI of the Kingdom of Morocco’s insightful visions.

His visions call for the fostering of kinship, affection, and mutually beneficial relationships with sisterly African nations.

The Moroccan Globetrotter Ayad El Mouftahion his part expressed gratitude to the Morocco Ambassador to Ghan and the Moroccan community in the country for the warm reception and support extended to him.
He also expressed his gratitude to CIMAF Ghana and OCP Ghana for generously funding his international cycling tour’s Ghana leg.


The Moroccan cyclist stated that his journey, specifically through Africa, aims to improve ties between Morocco and other African nations.

The young Moroccan cyclist’s journey through Africa began in El Guergerate in Morocco and has taken him through several African nations, including Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, Gabon, Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Angola, Namibia, South Africa, Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Sudan, and Egypt.cial event held at the Moroccan residence in Accra served as a farewell to the daring young athlete who flags the Moroccan flag on his cycling journey through 22 African countries and Asian countries including Mecca and Al-Quds Acharif.
