Accra Hearts of Oak continued their impressive performance in the Premier League after inflicting a painful 1-0 home defeat on Medeama SC at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa.

Hearts of Oak have ended their Ghana Premier League winless jinx against Medeama SC in Tarkwa since 2016 after a narrow win on Saturday afternoon.

The early minutes of the game looked balanced as both sides possessed the ball in the middle but they failed to make the few chances created count before the half-hour mark.

Hearts of Oak gained possession to stage an intense pressure on the home side to concede before the break through a cool finish from Kwadwo Obeng Junior.

On the 33rd minute, Obeng Junior brilliantly capitalize on a defensive blunder of the Medeama SC back line to give Hearts of Oak a 1-0 lead for the break.

Back from the break, Coach Umar Rabiu made a tactical substitution with the introduction of Jonathan Sowah, Joshua Agyemang and Kwasi Donsu with the hopes of getting the leveller.
