LATEST: Berekum Chelsea reach financial agreement with Asante Kotoko over the transfer of Star Player
Ghana Premier League side Berekum Chelsea have reached an agreement with Asante Kotoko for the transfer of their former captain Stephen Amankona.
Informations available to Ghsportsnews.com, indicates that, the Bibires will pay less than the previous money Kotoko paid to them for the service of Amankona
Amankona join Asante Kotoko in October, 2021 at a fee of GHS 150,000 from Berekum Chelsea.
The 22- year old had an impressive spell with Kotoko in the 2021/22 season, and contributing in winning the Ghana Premier League last year to end their almost eight year abeyance.
However, Amankona has struggled to command much playing time since his arrival and he also having serious disciplinary issues.
He made only six appearance so far in the ongoing betPawa Premier League with a goal to his belt one red which happened against Bechem United.
Berekum Chelsea are currently 14th on the league table with 16 points and they want to strengthen their attack department, so that they don’t slip into the relegation zone.
The official announcements could be on Monday from the two parties.
