GRFU Expands Grassroots Development with Rugby Initiative in Upper East Region

The Ghana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) has taken another significant step in its nationwide development agenda by introducing rugby to young learners in the Upper East Region through an introductory session held at ABULU Primary School.

The initiative forms part of GRFU’s commitment to expanding the reach of rugby across Ghana and creating opportunities for children in underserved communities to experience the sport.

The programme was spearheaded by Grace Aduntira, a player of the Ghana National Women’s Rugby Team and a teacher at ABULU Primary School. Driven by her passion for rugby and youth development, Grace introduced the sport to students within her community, providing them with their first opportunity to learn and participate in rugby activities.
