Ghana’s Black Queens Confirm Squad Numbers Ahead of WAFCON 2026 Kick-Off

The Black Queens have officially confirmed their jersey numbers ahead of the 2026 TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), as Ghana finalises preparations for the continent’s biggest women’s football tournament in Morocco.

The 16-team championship kicks off on Sunday, July 26, 2026, and will run until August 16, with Africa’s finest women’s national teams battling for continental glory and qualification opportunities.

Head coach Kim Lars Björkegren and his squad will be hoping to make a strong impression as Ghana returns to the prestigious tournament with ambitions of challenging for the title.

The Black Queens have been drawn in Group D, where they will face Cape Verde, Cameroon, and Mali in what promises to be a fiercely contested group. Ghana will begin their campaign against Cape Verde on July 29 before taking on Cameroon on August 2 and Mali on August 6, with all three matches scheduled to be played at the Moulay Rachid Stadium in Casablanca.

With the official squad numbers now confirmed, supporters can easily identify their favourite players throughout the tournament as the Black Queens seek to make the nation proud.
