Ghanain judokas depart for African Senior Open Judo Championship in Yaoundé

Ghana Judo Team has left the country on Tuesday, November 15, to participate in the 6th edition of the African Senior Open Judo Championship in Yaoundé, Cameroon.

The events will kick -off on Thursday, 17 November, 2022 and end on Tuesday, 22, November, 2022.

Daniel Quansah, Frank Terkpor and Coach Ezekiel Dodoo who are departing from Accra to Yaoundé, while Rashid Alhassan will join them in Cameroon from his base in Europe.

Team Ghana is represented by Daniel Quansah (-60kg), Frank Terkpor (-66kg) and Rashid Alhassan (-81kg).

The event or score points will also be used for the qualifications for future international events, in particular the Paris 2024 Olympics Games.

The trip was fully sponsored by the Ghana Olympic Committee through the Continental Athlete Support Grant.
