GFA Foundation donates GHC10,000 each to Sabahn Quaye and Thomas Quaye

The GFA Foundation has paid visits to former Black Stars Team Manager, Sabahn Quaye and a former player, Thomas Quaye at their residences in Accra. During the visits, the Foundation donated GHS10,000.00 each to them.

The GFA Foundation delegation, which included former Black Stars player, Sam ‘Foyoo’ Johnson, Michael Osekere, and the Greater Accra Regional Football Association Chairman, Samuel Aboabire, visited Sabahn Quaye and Thomas Quaye separately.

During the visits, President Simeon-Okraku thanked both football personalities for their selfless service to the nation and the game. Sabahn Quaye, who was on a steady path to full recovery, praised his wife for sticking by him during his illness and advised current players, officials, and football administrators to do regular health check-ups.

Thomas Quaye, who played for Accra Hearts of Oak and Dawu Youngsters, was bedridden at the time of the visit.

The Director of GFA Foundation, Malcolm Frazier Appeadu, said that the donation is a manifestation of the Foundation’s strategic objective of improving the lives and livelihoods of football people and communities, falling in line with one of the GFA Foundation’s 5 thematic areas which supports the welfare of ex-national players and football officials.

The former Black Stars Team Manager expressed his appreciation to the GFA President for the visit and financial support, while Madam Margaret Jonah, Thomas Quaye’s wife, expressed her profound gratitude to the GFA Foundation delegation for the visit and financial assistance.
