Dreams FC aimed to bounce back after the break by launching several attacks. Their efforts finally paid off when John Antwi calmly converted a penalty in the 55th minute to shoot the team back into the lead and eventually secure a 2-1 victory.

Officials of Dreams FC had initially expressed their desire to make it to the next round of the competition where they would be divided into groups should they sail through. They would therefore need to hold on to their advantage and hope for a positive result when they travel to Sierra Leone for the return leg.

Kallon FC are expected to host the Ghanaian side at the Southern Arena Stadium on Friday, September 29.
