The Chief Executive Officer of emerging Ghanaian football academy Crystal Boys Football Academy, Christian Kpobi, has secured a partnership deal with a Spanish LaLiga 2 side during a recent trip to Barcelona, Spain.
The partnership focuses on collaboration between the two clubs, including exchange programmes, talent development initiatives, and opportunities for promising players to move abroad. The agreement is also aimed at identifying and nurturing young, underprivileged football talents and providing them with pathways to professional football.
The partnership is expected to take effect from the start of next season.
Speaking after signing the agreement, Crystal Boys Football Academy CEO Christian Kpobi expressed excitement about the opportunity, describing the collaboration as a major step forward for the academy.
He also highlighted the abundance of football talent in Africa and expressed optimism that the partnership would create opportunities for young Ghanaian players to showcase their abilities on the international stage.
According to him, the collaboration will not only benefit players from Crystal Boys Football Academy but also contribute to the broader development of football talent in Ghana.

Crystal Boys Football Academy is currently competing in the Eastern Regional Football Association (RFA) Division Two League Zone Three for the 2025/26 season, where the team sits third on the league table.
The new partnership is expected to strengthen the academy’s player development structure and open doors for talented players to gain international exposure and professional opportunities.
