Coaching License D Program ends at Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale

The NRFA in collaboration with the GFA has successfully trained 85 applicants who applied to do their Coaching License D Program in Tamale.

They were divided into 2 batches with the course spanning a period of about 3 weeks.

At the closing ceremony to mark the end of the 3 week long program, the team of instructors comprising Mr Abukari Samba, Mr. Wilson, Mr Baba NUHU Mallam, Mr Mohammed Nassam and Mr Ibrahim Shaibu Tanko took turns to advise the new graduands on the ethics of their new career.

The course content covered areas such as; Growth and Development of young footballers, Methods of Coaching, Cardio Vascular resuscitation and first aid administration among others.
The Northern Regional Football Association Chairman , Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo stated at the closing ceremony that over 140 Licenses “D” coaches have so far been trained in a space of One year to ensure that kids at the tender age get the right training to ensure proper development.

The RFA Chairman in line with his policy of encouraging women to take up coaching as a profession made a refund of half the cost of the fee to Ms Janet Ayinyem, the only female participant in the 4th batch, therefore bringing to 7 the number of females who have so far benefited from this policy.

ALHAJI also rewarded in all, the 5 most disciplined graduands with a Ghc100 each. That is, 2 in the third batch and 3 in the fourth batch.
He also advised the new coaches to go back to their respective communities and apply the new knowledge they have learnt throughout the program so as to uplift the game of football up north.

The participants were very grateful to the NRFA, the GFA and the team of Instructors for the opportunity given them and the Knowledge they had acquired.
Also present to grace the occasion was Mr A. A Alhassan, the Regional Refereees manager and FIFA Referee Barchisu.
