Ghanaian lower-tier side Cheetah FC have received an invitation to participate in the 2026 Democracy Youth Invitational Tournament, scheduled to take place from May 12 to May 14, 2026, at the McDan Sports Complex.
The youth tournament forms part of the Parliament of Ghana and KGL Democracy Cup series, which is currently in its third edition and continues to promote the connection between sports and democratic values in the country.
Organisers say the initiative seeks to foster and strengthen the relationship between football and democracy by using the game as a platform to inspire unity, discipline, leadership and youth development.
Cheetah FC’s participation is expected to provide young talents at the club with a major opportunity to showcase their abilities against top opposition while gaining valuable competitive experience.
The Democracy Cup initiative has grown steadily since its inception, attracting increasing interest from clubs, football stakeholders and supporters across Ghana.
